Hi

The picture isn’t from last year…..but it could well have been! (Probably not quite enough water though)

Highlight of last year has to be spending the afternoon, during a thunderstorm, (what else!) in the real ale tent getting rather bladdered. Topped then by trying to get Jane from there to the tipi – one step forward, 3 to the side and 2 back – it took a while.

This year (if I make it) looking forward to Fratellis (love there new album), Elbow and Seasick Steve amongst others.

Mainly though looking forward to getting there and enjoying the company and the craic!

Here’s to a dry(ish) one.

Steve Rogers

Hi,

I’m looking forward to doing a lot more of what I’m doing in my pic!!

Highlight form last year has to be the Waterboys at the Avalon stage…they were rockin’!!

Glastonbury is not only about music it’s also about escaping from the real world for a few days. Watching Jon (our tribe chief), whose wellie had attached itself to his leg with limpet like suction and Sam who was valiantly trying to remove it and demolish the Bedouin tent in the process, was enough to take anyone to a different place!! Hilarious. Good on the lovely Canadian singer who managed to keep going without falling off her stool laughing.

In past years we have suffered trench foot, a raided tent and a bargain blanket for £10 that was only 18 inches wide!!! And still we come back for more…we eagerly await this year’s adventure.

This year looking forward to Thea Gilmore, We Are Scientists, Levellers, Black Mountain, Laura Marling and many more.

A dry one would be nice.

Seeya there!

Steve.

Hello

I'm Paul member of the 2008 Glasto Tipi Crew, my job is to try and survive another year.

Memories of last year:- also wellie problems, and managed to loose mine outside the same hippi tent bar as Jon mentioned, so nicked somebody elses, 2 sizes too big.

Looking forward this year to seeing The Enemy, Crowded House, The Verve and many others.

See you at the Queens Head, as they have some big acts like Elbow which should be good to see in this smaller venue.

Jon Pickles

Hi my job is to get tickets for everyone (not difficult this year) and to provide some entertainment for lasting memories.

This year we have a Tipi again but it should be better because we are in “the Park”. We should be able to see Pete Doherty if he turns up!

At Glasto 2007 I provided a lasting memory by getting my wellies stuck and then slapstick comedy ensued as Sam tried to pull my boot off whilst I held on to the Bedouin Cafe tent pole. The whole tent rocked as Sam pulled and a quiet Canadian singer (think Joni Mitchell) sang sweet songs and then invited us all to touch her. I would have done if I could have got that boot off! In the end Steve sloshed back to the Tipi and got his trusty Swiss Army Knife and cut off the boot.

This year highlights for me will be "Sun", Elbow, John Cale, Neil Diamond, Edwyn Collins and no doubt any one else I happen to fall into a tent to see. Lets try and make Glasto 2008 a memorable one whatever the weather. Stand by for more blogs between now and then end of the festival. l Jon x
